Yamaha DTX900 – Demo – The Best Electronic Drum Set

electronic drumshttp://www.electronicdrumblog.com – In this video I goof around on the Yamaha DTX900. This kit really does sound and feel better than any other electronic drum set on the market to me (as of 12/20/11). Great for studios, churches, and I dare say even live!

For sampling you’ll need DIMM memory ($30ish on line) that you need to purchase to place in the back of the module. info for this is towards the back of your manual. I use a condenser mic for my cymbals etc, I search for sounds & songs (wav files) on line and use my Yamaha Pocketrak 2G where ever i go to record external sound that i may want. The Yamaha DTX 900 is a powerful module.

I have this set aswell and the sampling ideas you can do with this is soooo great. I have 12 cymbals of mine sampled into the set. The pads feel great, 3 zones, great variety and quality of sounds. Just tops.

    I have the DTX500 …
I have the DTX500 and I love it. I bought everything ala-cart so I could get the larger snare pad that this set comes with. I’d love a 900, but at $1200-$1500 it’s a pricey upgrade and I’d rather spend that money on an actual set.
