A point of view on real drums vs electronic drums, or so called “fake drums”.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against electronic music (I’m a huge fan and you guys know it), but I prefer real drums for rock or metal music. Even played on electronic drums, but PLAYED by a musician, not a keyboard.

Actually, I …
Actually, I disagree. This is a factor for live concerts, of course. But there are plugins out there that give you everything you could do on an instrument without the limitations of the human body – the composer is only limited by his own imagination. So while I’d rather see a real person playing an instrument than have a track playing, I think a good composer with plugins can achieve so much more. The problem is most people only use plugins for very basic background tunes.

This is SO awesome – here’s a guy saying something REAL amongst all of the incessant jabbering …he doesn’t criticize, he doesn’t proselytize, he can already record tracks and put out tunes over and over, but if you wanna make REAL, absolutely unique human expression into MUSIC – then ya gotta add LIFE – living, breathing, laughing human beings who collectively merge into the moment in order to create the shared sound they want to hear – right the f%$! on man! – THIS is the way it’s done!
