In this video I show you how to replace the heads on my OSP DD502 electronic drumset with mesh heads.
The guy who sold them to me seems to have disappeared and is no longer selling them. However, I found some more of these for sale at the following link:

These mesh heads feel much better than the original heads and they are much quieter too. I recommend these heads to anyone who is considering purchasing one of these drumkits.

That was several years ago when I purchased these mesh heads from a guy on ebay. He no longer sells them so you’d just have to do a search on ebay. Hopefully you’ll find someone else who makes them now. Good luck.

I held off on …
I held off on replacing the bass drum head for a while, but after I put the mesh head on it does miss a lot. When it does trigger, I can barely hear it on my headphones. I tried tightening it as far down as it could go, but it still has a poor response. I might see if I can cut the foam down a bit because I think it’s absorbing all the force needed to trigger the kick.

Hey, anyone had …
Hey, anyone had trouble with the snare not registering when snare+hi-hat are hit, after installing these mesh heads?
It’s the only real killer so far. Drops maybe one in 10 snare hits. It might be I’m not hitting the thicker pad hard enough (and I’ve turned up the volume), but I don’t think so.
