Drum Set Guide Sound Check: Basix Drum Set

Most drum review sites will give you a written review, but we like to provide a sound file as well. This kit is Basix drum set. We used Evans e-rings on the toms, but did not muffle the bass drum. For the full review, visit drumsetguide.com.
All Drum Set Guide sound checks are performed without drum miking. We use the Zoom Q3HD. Checks on comparable kits are performed in the same environment whenever possible. This doesn’t replace hearing drums live, but it is a good basis for comparison.
